Equipping Padukuhan Volunteers, Srimulyo Holds Covid-19 Crisis Handling Training

Piyungan (Gerbang Madu News), - Covid-19 cases in the Bantul Regency area until July 13 were recorded as suspect 21,918 people, probable 1,945 people confirmed during the pandemic reached 29,621 and recovered 18,481, Isolated 10,465, died 675 people. This indicates that the conditions in the field for positive Covid-19 confirmation cases, both isolation and death, show a graph of an increase coupled with the scarcity of oxygen cylinder needs, thus encouraging an increase in patient mortality before medical treatment. The increase in the death rate also has an impact on the need for staff for funerals, both from rukti to funerals.

To overcome this, the Covid 19 Handling Task Force of the Srimulyo Village held a Covid-19 Crisis Handling Training which included the evacuation of patients to the management of corpses. The event was held on Wednesday (14/07/2021) at 09.00 WIB at PKBM Bina Karya, Ngelosari, Srimulyo, Piyungan, Bantul and the training was officially opened by the Regent of Bantul, H. Abdul Halim Muslih and attended by Mr. Panewu Piyungan Roy Robert EB, AP, MM and Lurah Srimulyo Drs. obligatory. In his remarks, the Regent of Bantul expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all the committee and participants for carrying out this activity.

The training was attended by 90 participants drawn from a total of 250 volunteers who registered, consisting of members of the Srimulyo Village FPRB, Srimulyo Village Covid-19 Handling Volunteers, PKK elements and hamlet task force elements. The event featured speakers, namely PMI Bantul Regency, Practitioners of Rukti Infectious Bodies and the COVID-19 Handling Task Force for Srimulyo Village.

The objectives of the training are:

  • Increase understanding of the Covid-19 response in the Srimulyo Village.
  • Increasing the role of non-FPRB volunteers as supporters of the role of village volunteers/FPRB in handling Covid-19.
  • Increase the capacity of volunteers in the management of infectious corpses, from patient evacuation, ruti and funeral protocols
