This commemoration aims to remind the public the importance of literacy as the dignity and human right of every human being. The commemoration of International Literacy Day continues to be done to maintain awareness of the importance of literacy in society, not least the letters or characters that we have, namely Javanese script. Srimulyo invites all levels of society, especially young millennials let's get the desire to practice, echo the spirit of literacy, resonant the love of literacy, realize the ideals of Yogyakarta as Hanacaraka City "Aksara  Jawa Anjayeng Bawana".
